Genét Finnegan is a Board Certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology, and practicing in Manhattan since 2009. Prior to joining Spring Street, Genét worked as Physician Assistant within the Columbia University Department of Dermatology, focusing on the prevention, detection and management of skin cancer. In addition to performing skin cancer screening exams, Genét evaluates and treats patients presenting with a wide range of general dermatologic conditions, including acne, rosacea, psoriasis, and eczema.
Genét is experienced in the management of cosmetic concerns, and is trained in the use of neuromodulators, soft tissue fillers and chemical peeling agents. She has a particular interest in cosmetic laser treatments such as those for anti-aging, and the treatment of pigmentary issues, brown spots, redness, acne scarring and wrinkling or laxity of the skin.
Genét graduated Magna cum Laude from Loyola University in Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Biology before receiving her Master’s Degree from the Drexel University Physician Assistant program. She graduated first in her class, receiving the Elizabeth Peabody Stolberg award for academic excellence, and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants Leadership Award. She is a member of both the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants and the Alpha Eta National Honor Society for Allied Health Professions. Genét is an active member of The American Academy of Physician Assistants and The Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and currently serves as the Chair of the SDPA Student Affairs Committee.
