According to the Encyclopedia of New York City, Lenox Hill is the neighborhood between 60th Street and 77th Street, from Fifth Avenue on the west to Lexington Avenue on the east. This borough is located amongst some of the most beautiful natural scenery and stunning man-made landmarks in NYC. The affluent neighborhood is home to many newly developed condo-buildings with modern amenities, but is most known for its upscale residences that date back to as early as the 19th century.
The vibe of Lenox Hill can change depending on the block. For example, 5th Avenue is lined with historic landmarks and impressive architecture. Madison Avenue, just one block east, is known for its prestigious boutiques and stores of luxury brands. It is only until you reach the side streets when Lenox Hill begins to feel less busy and more residential.
